Is Yeon Gaesomun a good general in Evony?

Yeon Gaesomun is best used as a PvP Subordinate City General. His special skill reduces all enemy attacks by 10% and reduces ground troop attacks by a further 30%.

He is let down slightly by this final part of his special skill. Although useful, ground troop attack is not the most worrying stat to debuff. Overall, however, he remains a great option with his attack debuff to all troop types and should b used if you get your hands on him.

Yeon Gaesomun – Special Skill

An Evony General’s Special Skill is always active and requires no development. Read the description carefully to ensure it is having the impact that you expect.

Dae Magniji

Reduces enemy troops’ attack by 10% and reduces enemy ground troops’ attack by another 30% when General is leading the army.

Ascended Special Skill Buffs

Below are the additional buffs that an ascended Yeon Gaesomun will receive to her Special Skill for each ascended star level.

• 1 Star – Enemy Ground Troop and Mounted Troop Defense -15% and HP -10%.
• 2 Star – Enemy Ground Troop and Mounted Troop Defense -20%; when General is the Mayor, Training Speed in this Subordinate City +20%.
• 3 Star – Enemy Ground Troop and Mounted Troop HP -20%; when General is the Mayor, Death into Survival Rate in this Subordinate City +10%.
• 4 Star – Enemy Ground Troop and Mounted Troop Attack -10% and HP -20%.
• 5 Star – Enemy Ground Troop and Mounted Troop Attack -15% and Defense -25%.

Yeon Gaesomun – Specialities

• All Troops Attack +6%

Battle of Sasu

Yeon Gaesomun – Builds

It is a good idea to focus your sub cities on building one troop type and tilting the general build towards this.

The below builds outline which skill books and equipment refines you should use depending on the troop type you prefer. However, Yeon Gaesomun is well suited to Ground troops.

Ranged PvP

This build works well for a sub city which has focused on the ranged troop type.
