Buyer beware. eHarmony continues to charge you MANY months after you cancel your subscription. I was unable to find the canceled email, as it was 8 months prior to being build. I definitely recommend using different dating sites. Don't let eHarmony rob you!

Please be careful when agreeing to a contract. I thought I was opening a 3-month trial. After one week, feeling uncomfortable with the site privacy, I cancelled my subscription. I was told I was responsible to pay the year. No exceptions.

I wrote my bio but could not use it because they have a character limit and their competitors don’t. When you find a match, hit it off and switch to calling or texting, it’s logical to delete them out of your conversation list because you are now using phone to communicate. When you do this, Eharmony will send your contact a message from you that says, “ Goodbye”. Your friend that you are now talking to via your phone, will see the message and then see you disappear. It sends the wrong message and is in very bad taste. Another big problem is that Eharmony sends a huge majority of potential matches that live over 150 miles away. Other sites allow you to specify distance of search and, they are 1/3 the price of Eharmony. Save your money, not impressed at all.

This site is terrible. There is no option for a month to month subscription. So you have to sign up for a year under contract. Well I met someone and not on this site so naturally I wanted to cancel after a month because I am not a cheater. They continued to charge me and said I was under contract and obligated to pay them for a year. They scam you. So now I have to pay a year's worth for services I don't want and have cancelled. Total scam. I do not recommend.

I subscribed in good faith. Found out that you need Adobe Reader and that only has a 7 day free trial. Then you have an added fee. This was not told to me, therefore misrepresentation. I asked for a refund within 24 hours, as soon as I found out about yet another charge to be added. Customer Service said they don’t give out refunds even though the fee would now increase. Does someone know how to dispute this or file a complaint to a higher office? Clearly false advertising.

Not great. No one replies back. Very limited selection 30 within 150mi radius. Main reason I don't like is no one replies back not even to a simple, "Hello how are doing today." And looking at other sites same way. Thinking everyone is short handed on woman and overwhelmingly overran by scams. Don't waste your time and money. They won't refund you even for a partial refund was requested. Time and Money be better spent at the gym or at the bar just learn to talk face to face to a girl is my advice.

This site is basically a scam. Auto renew is automatic and they don't warn you before your subscription expires as they hope you will forget. I used the site for two months and didn't have much success. Very few women (I found) use this site in my experience. Will never use this site again. Although the people on the site are legitimate their customer service and scam technique auto renew is terrible. Stay Away!

I would not recommend eHarmony. It seems there are a lot less people using it and therefore less possible matches. Also on their site it says you can cancel your subscription at any time. True but if you choose longer subscription periods they will not let you cancel it early and there is no one month option. I confess I did not read the Terms and conditions, and thought if I did a quarterly payment plan I could cancel after one quarter, and I was wrong. I requested to cancel and received a email which was clearly copied and pasted saying no and the decision was final. I would recommend using a different dating app.

Nothing but fake profiles. All fake photos, fake names, fake people, you will never communicate with genuine, real people you will be communicating with. God knows who some scammers that’s all and those people will end up asking you for something monetary. It is such a shame that this site is fooling so many genuine people, stay away unless you’re looking for trouble. I had such a hard time dealing with fake people.

You do not want to subscribe. It absolutely is a scam. Once they get you money you can't cancel for refund. I tried to cancel a few hours after subscription. No way can you talk to a person. The phone number online is a fake number! They are scammers! Then they send you email right away about they will automatically renew. I called my bank to stop any future payments. I sent a review to better business bureau which they are not a part of.. Imagine that! I hate Eharmony because they took my payment and would not let me cancel for refund even though I had just subscribed and never used their dam site.. It's pathetic! A consumer has more luck in buying a new car.

eharmony author review by Mark Brooks

eHarmony is the largest dating site geared specifically towards long-term relationships and marriage minded singles. They claim to be responsible for over 500 new marriages every day in the US.

    • In-depth entry questionnaire: eHarmony asks all of its members a little more than 300 multiple choice questions before allowing them to enter into their ranks. This in-depth questionnaire is geared at giving the site enough information to help provide you with qualified potential matches.

    • No Searching: In sharp contrast to other dating sites, eHarmony does not allow members to search directly for matches. Instead, it uses the answers from the questionnaire to provide you with a selection of daily matches that should be compatible with your needs and desires in a partner.

    • Guided Communication: Instead of sending off an email or wink like you would do on most sites, eHarmony takes members through 4 steps of guided communication before allowing you to continue with open communication with a new match. The guided communication is designed to help assure compatibility and that you don't waste energy on bad matches.
